While investigating the root cause of the 02-May-2012 backend network
disruption that caused a brief interruption in service, Network
Engineers have identified a hardware issue on a backend router,
bcr02a.dal05, which provides connectivity for your hosting services. To
prevent further unplanned outages resulting in significant downtime,
engineers will be failing over to bcr02b.dal05, a redundant chassis,
during an emergency maintenance window. During this maintenance, your
hosting services may experience connectivity issues on the public
network as the new redundant unit takes over. While the maintenance
window is set for two hours, we expect less than 45 minutes of downtime.
